The Figure in the Dark

It started like any normal lunch period. I was sitting in my high school cafeteria with my best friend, surrounded by the usual noise of students talking and trays clattering, when suddenly every light in the room went out. The entire cafeteria fell silent. Then, on the stage at the front of the room, a dark shadow figure appeared, standing perfectly still as if it had been waiting for me. I froze in fear as it slowly turned its attention toward me. The moment it spotted me, it sent shadowy lackeys into the crowd to surround and capture me. Just as everything seemed hopeless, the cafeteria doors burst open. A mysterious boy with jet-black hair and piercing ocean-blue eyes rushed in alongside two other guys and a girl. Without hesitation, they began fighting the shadow creatures while guiding the terrified students to safety in the gym. After an intense battle, the group managed to drive the shadow figure out of the school. Once the chaos settled, the mysterious boy approached me and revealed his name was Rain. He explained that I was no longer safe and needed to be taken to a secure safe house before the shadow figure returned for me.
